SOMEthing to THINK about
In the centuries after his crucifixion Jesus was depicted, in the early Christian church, as clean-shaven and having short hair. It was not untill the sixth century, that Jesus appeared on murals, iconic art and paintings with long, dark hair and a beard. Jesus had to look more like Zeus and Jupiter, pagan, bearded and longhaired gods.
If the early depictions shows the real Jesus, this has enormous consequences for the “Shroud of Turin”.
This intriguing relic shows the “second Jesus”. Is this is the face of Jeus, shortly after death? If so Jesus was about 6 feet tall, a giant compared to his fellow-Jews in those years, who were, in average, 5 .2 feet. This enormous difference is not mentioned in early Christian scriptures.
