Mecca-Kaaba-1979

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES: WHY KILL A MESSIAH; THAT IS THE QUESTION

The fact, that Jesus was the Messiah, is generally acknowledged as being a (biblical) fact. That the Messiah was trialed and crucified. Nobody protested when he died a horrible death. What could the Sun of God have achieved if he lived into his sixties or seventies. Paradise?

Islam also knows a Messah, who will arrive during the period of Tribulation. His name is the “Imam Mahdi”, the Lost One, who will conquer Jerusalem, from where he will rule the world.

But maybe, the Muslims, have made the terrible mistake as the Jewish, Romans and proto-christians living in the Holy Land made by executing their Messiah.

On 20 november 1979 about 4/500 Muslims seized the Masjid al-Haram, the Grand Mosque, in Mecca.

The insurgents declared that the Mahdi (the "redeemer of Islam") had arrived in the form of one of their leaders – Mohammed Abdullah al-Qahtani – and called on Muslims to obey him. The Saudi Royal family would have to step down.

Al-Qahtani was killed in the recapture of the mosque but Juhayman and 67 of his fellow rebels who survived the assault were captured and later beheaded. They were not shown leniency.[40] The king secured a fatwa (edict) from the Council of Senior Scholars[10][39] which found the defendants guilty of seven crimes:

In our recent turbulent times, shi'ite Muslims, like the former prime-minister of Iran, Achmadinejad, prophesy the imminent arrival of the Imam Mahdi. Leaves the question open, was Mohammed Abdullah al-Qahtani an imposter or did the Saudi Army shot the Islamic Messian.
