SOMEthing to THINK about

In 1944 IBM presented the “Harvard Mark 1”. It was the first fully automatic computer to hit the market. This machine (and its forunners, the punchcard machines) were immediately used by the Nazi's, to label and classify the population (Jews, homo-sexuals, Roma a.o.) of Germany, but especially the occupied countries. It made the genocide possible.

In our 21^st century this process of labelling and classifying is culminated in the promotion of the veri-chips, a computer, miniturised to the seize of a grain of rice, to be implanted in the human body. This veri-chip will contain all kinds of data and can be traced.

The leading firm on this rapidly developing field, is owned by IBM.
